Gateway HHT is a voluntary, charitable organisation that works with socially disadvantaged people to provide housing & social support, and a range of tenancy management services. We provide person-centred packages of support to individuals and assist them to manage and sustain their tenancy while helping them move towards independent living.
We currently have opportunities for Volunteers:
FOOTBALL SKILLS The Trust would like a Volunteer to assist our Support Staff with our organised football events which are held regularly on a Thursday lunch time. The football events usually take place at the Leisure Centre Astro Turf pitches.
BUDDY SCHEME The Trust are looking for Volunteers who would be willing to provide some company and help for our service users, this could be taking a service user out for a coffee, helping them with their shopping or just visiting them to have a chat and provide some company. Volunteers for this role would be matched with a service user to whom they would be best suited.
OTHER SKILLS If you have some spare time and would like to Volunteer the Trust is also looking for people with music skills, cooking ability and hairdressing qualification. If you feel you have any time and wish to Volunteer to assist with any of the above activities then please contact the Trust and have a talk with Irene. All Volunteers will be required to go through the Disclosure Scotland check process prior to commencing to Volunteer with the Trust.
